A student preparing for IIT in Patna committed suicide by hanging himself. The nearby students informed Shastri Nagar police station about this. As soon as the information was received, the police of Shastri Nagar police station reached the spot, however the door was locked from inside. The police broke the door and recovered the body of the young man from the room. The deceased young man has been identified as Sonu Kumar, 17 years old, resident of Nalanda.
Confirming the case, Shastri Nagar police station in-charge said that the family members of the deceased have been informed about this. They will reach soon. Meanwhile, the police has called the FSL team to the spot and has started investigating the case.
The police station in-charge said that the reason behind the incident will be revealed only after the arrival of the family members. Sonu Kumar’s friends living in the hostel said that after having dinner on Tuesday night, Sonu went to his room and locked the door from inside. Meanwhile, late at night, when a student tried to open Sonu’s door for some work, the door was locked from inside, even after a lot of effort, Sonu did not open the door from inside. When the students looked through a hole in the door, Sonu’s body was hanging from the fan. After this, the students informed Shastri Nagar police station about it.
